Databricks Apps
Databricks Apps let partners build and deploy secure, data-driven applications that run directly inside a customer's Databricks workspace. Unlike traditional SaaS integrations, Databricks Apps eliminate the need for separate infrastructure — your app runs on Databricks serverless compute, inherits Unity Catalog governance, and uses the customer's existing identity and access controls.
For data collaboration partners, this opens up a powerful new model: rather than asking customers to move data out of their workspace, you bring your application to where the data already lives.
What you can build
- OpenSharing workflows — apps that automate data sharing setup, recipient management, and share lifecycle operations
- Clean Room interfaces — custom UIs for configuring and running collaborative analytics across organizational boundaries
- Data product experiences — interactive apps that let customers explore and act on shared data assets
- Operational tools — monitoring dashboards, runbooks, and automation interfaces built on top of live Databricks data
Supported frameworks
Databricks Apps support Python frameworks (Streamlit, Dash, Gradio) and Node.js frameworks (React, Angular, Express), giving you flexibility to build the right experience for your use case.
